"Eyelash" viper refers to the scales above its eyes, which resemble eyelashes.
As a relatively small arboreal species, it hunts and spends most of its life in trees.
Hypodermic, needle-like fangs lunge out during a strike ...

They can't afford to drop their prey on the forest floor.
So when they make contact, they don't let go.
If left alone, confliscts with humans are extremely rare.
