To celebrate the
World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour, artist
Mac Premo was tasked with creating an object from repurposed material. Already accustomed to working in this fashion, Premo changed up the idea and wanted to see if something he loved could be made out of trash. He approached skateboard company
Sanford Shapes with his idea and together they discovered that discarded paint buckets make an ideal base for the boards.
The Short Film Showcase spotlights exceptional short videos created by filmmakers from around the web and selected by National Geographic editors. We look for work that affirms National Geographic's belief in the power of science, exploration, and storytelling to change the world. The filmmakers created the content presented, and the opinions expressed are their own, not those of National Geographic Partners.
