See a Moose Get Freed by a Swing-Sawing Swede
December 14, 2017—Leif Gisslén was out for a walk on Vindö island, in Sweden's Stockholm archipelago, on the morning of December 6, when he saw that a moose was in trouble. As news site The Local reports, Gisslén could tell that the moose was upset, but didn’t see why. Moving closer, he could see that the big animal—Gisslén puts it over 400 pounds, and two years old—was tangled in a tree swing. Fearing the moose couldn’t free itself, and would be hurt he told the moose, “I’ll come and help you right away.” Gisslén returned with a saw, and worked for about 20 minutes to free the moose. Gisslén tells The Local he hopes the much-viewed video persuades homeowners to take down their swings when they’re away.
