This Rescued Dog is an Avid Mountain Climber
Dec. 7, 2017 - Penni the pit bull was locked in a small basement from the start of her life. And she didn't learn how to run until much later. When she was one or two years old, she was rescued by the nonprofit group Fur Friends in Need. Now, she is happily climbing mountains with her new owner. She's a seasoned adventure dog experienced in long-distance hiking, rappelling, and even zip-lining. Penni's owner says despite her abusive upbringing, she's fearless in the wild.
