Oct. 24, 2017 - This rare albino echidna was spotted in Freycinet National Park, Tasmania. Echidnas are peculiar egg-laying mammals that are covered in spine-like hairs. Albinism is a genetic condition that inhibits the production of melanin that results in the echidna's white hair, pink snout, and blue eyes.
