Florida Detective Wrangles 9-Foot-Long Anaconda
Oct. 17, 2017 - A 9-foot-long yellow anaconda was found alongside a road in Leon County, Florida. Detective Emily Shaw of the Leon County Sherriff’s Office has experience handling exotic snakes and was able to safely capture it. The anaconda is native to South America. Authorities believe that this snake was someone’s pet that either escaped or was released into the wild.
