A family found this bald eagle swimming in the Bay of Fundy off Nova Scotia, Canada.
The raptor’s waterlogged wings prevented it from flying.
Afraid the tired eagle would drown, the witnesses intervened and pulled it into their boat.
They brought it to the Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre … where staff discovered an injury to its foot.
However, they believe exhaustion was the main source of the eagle’s distress.
The eagle briefly stayed at the center where the staff tested its ability to fly.
After giving it a clean bill of health, they released it to take to the sky again.
