July 26, 2017 - See a historic shipwreck that's been transformed into a thriving marine refuge. The
SS Cuba sank to the bottom of the ocean near San Miguel Island, southwest of Santa Barbara, California, in September 1923. All of the crew and passengers survived. The wreck is now inside the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, a protected U.S. national park. Sealife has moved in, making the ship a perfect habitat for fish and ocean flora.
