Watch: Man Removes 'World's Deadliest Snake' from Home
Transcript
A homeowner in Durban, South Africa, discovered snake hiding underneath her TV console.
She initially thought it was a small, harmless snake.
It turned out to be a venomousblack mamba!
Black mambas are considered to be the world’s deadliest snake.
A bite from this snake is highly lethal if not immediately treated with antivenom.
The homeowner has several pets including rabbits, hamsters and birds … and it's likely the reason why the mamba entered the home in the first place.
Wisely a professional was called in to remove the mamba safely.
Black mambas prefer to flee humans than fight them.
This captured snake was measured to be over eight feet long (2.5 meters).
It was then tagged with a microchip and released in a reserve.
