June 14, 2017 - Three baby raccoons

Three baby raccoons befriended a fisherman at a creek in Wooster, Ohio.
The raccoons climbed on top of the man and followed him around.
Raccoons are primarily nocturnal but it’s not uncommon to see them out during the day.
They are resourceful and opportunistic and have learned to coexist with humans.
These little ones may have been interested in the man because of his beard which made him look furry like a raccoon.
The raccoons’ mother was not spotted in the vicinity.
It’s possible the babies were wandering briefly from their den or they were orphaned.
Another fisherman came into the scene and fed the raccoons dead fish he found.
He later built a shelter for the babies.
Animals experts say it’s okay to build a shelter for wild raccoon young if it’s apparent their mother is missing.
But you should never keep raccoons as pets because they are difficult to train and will damage your home and property.
