WATCH: Two of World's Deadliest Snakes Battle on Golf Course
Transcript
A golfer in the middle of a game spotted this extraordinary scene: two deadly black mambas engaged in a battle.
These male snakes are sparring over a female mate.
They’ll twist around and shove each other until one gives up. This is known as “plaiting combat.”
Black mambas are shy and secretive and tend to avoid humans. But they can become aggressive if threatened.
They’re extremely fast and are widely considered to be the world’s deadliest snake.
A bite from a black mamba is highly lethal if not treated with antivenom.
The golfer was wise to keep her distance and not break up this fight.
