Oct. 31, 2016 – A small migratory bird called the common swift can spend the better part of a year in the air, a study by Sweden’s Lund University has shown. By attaching tiny tracking devices to the birds, researchers were able to determine how and where the swifts moved on their epic journeys. Exactly how the birds sleep while in flight remains a mystery.
