Space exploration started more than 60 years ago, and this animated time line, made of paper, covers some important milestones. The first artificial satellite was launched on October 4, 1957, sparking our curiosity to discover what's out there. In this video astronauts reflect on their unique perspective of the planet we call home. It turns out that from space the majesty of Earth can be difficult to describe.
