Just north of Russia's Arctic coast lies an uninhabited archipelago called Franz Josef Land. Here, walruses bob and dive in the frigid waters, and polar bears roam freely along the chilly coastline. In the summer of 2013 Cory Richards joined a multidisciplinary scientific expedition there, going to great lengths and using innovative techniques to capture the extraordinary wildlife in the area.
