In New Orleans, Locals’ Photos Reveal a Changing Neighborhood

National Geographic Your Shot held a photography workshop in New Orleans's Lower Ninth Ward, a community deeply affected by Hurricane Katrina, and which still faces a great deal of change. In the workshop, community members gained skills in photography in order to tell their own stories. The images in this video are a result of that workshop and are accompanied by a poem written by a workshop participant when she was 13-years-old.
