        Mobile Phones Become Mobile Labs

        Emerging Explorer Dr. Aydogan Ozcan is developing a revolutionary global health solution using one of the most common forms of technology available-the smart phone. Using a host of off-the-shelf parts costing less than $50 to build an attachable adapter, Ozcan has transformed the average smart phone into a mobile medical lab with the capability to test and diagnose diseases like HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis in remote communities.
