- "Bright Morning Star" - The Oyster Band are the UK's hardest working folk-rock band, and this video catches them as they close out an outstanding 25th anniversary performance. The opening verse is sung by Britfolk icon June Tabor and features the group Chumbawamba.
- "Cernej Pasajer" - Czech band Traband plays a whimsical fusion of pop, folk-rock, and Bohemian and Moravian folk influences. The band plays raucously, with the signature sound of Jana Modràckovà's trumpet at the fore.

- "Corazón Loco" - Pianist Bebo Valdés is a veteran of the mid-century "golden age" of Cuban music. Now in his eighties, Valdés made this recording of a Cuban standard with Spanish flamenco singer Diego "la Cigala" in 2005.
- "Dena Da Presaka" - Spanish-American ensemble Bidaia was created by Mixel Ducau, Caroline Phillips, Ritxi Salaberria and Jabi Area to preserve Basque music and culture. This video features two unusual instruments: the hurdy-gurdy and the alboka, a Basque double-horn.
- "El Amor Se Demora" - Polvorosa is a Chilean-German trio, based in Barcelona, Spain, who pit a hip, post-electronic spin on Latin and Mediterranean sounds.
- "El Caiman Libre Va" - Antonio "El Curi" Curiel is a transplanted Spanish singer/songwriter working in Cuba. On this track, from his 2004 album, En La Habana, he performs with legendary Afro-Cuban roots band Septeto Santiaguero.

- "Mama" - Khadja Nin is a singer and musician from Burundi who now resides in Belgium. Together with partner Nicolas Fiszman she writes songs the combine traditional Central African rhythms with sparkling pop arrangements.
- "Manea Cu Voca" - Romanian Rom (gypsy) ensemble Fanfare Ciocarlia are part of a brass band tradition that stretches from the Balkans to the Black Sea, with origins in the janissary bands of the Ottoman armies. This video is from the 2002 film Brass on Fire.
- "Mikel Pur/Kus Erik" - Frifot is a Swedish folk supergroup, consisting of Lena Willemark, Per Gudmundsen and Ale Möller—all well-respected musicians in their own right. This track is taken from their 2003 album Sluring.

- "Sonido Total" - This Barcelona-based duo (Mister Furia and Professor Manso) is making waves with their digital and analog based mélange of Latin, house, lounge and pop music.
- "Sou do Fado" - Portuguese singer Ana Moura sings fado with startling maturity for a young woman. In this video from her 2005 album, Guarda-Me a Vida Na Mao, she sings of her dedication to the music, singing "I am Fado, I am the Fadista."
- "Studeny Nohy" - Czech singer Raduza performed as a street singer before being discovered in1994. Her music is influenced by Czech folksongs, and she often accompanies herself on the accordion.
- "Suvetar (Goddess of Spring)" - Norwegian group Gjallarhorn bases its repertoire on the folk music of Swedes within Norway, and takes its name from an instrument in Norse mythology. This track, from their 2000 album Sjofn, is a rune song dedicated to the goddess of spring.
