- "Na Ri Na" - Cape Verdean singer Lura was raised in Lisbon's émigré community and specializes in lesser-known styles. This song was written by Orlando Pantera, a writer who inspired an entire generation of young artists before his death in 2001.
- "O Gente Minha Terra" - Portuguese fado singer Mariza has been compared to the great Amàlia Rodrigues, because of her big voice and flair for the dramatic. This song is taken from her 2002 album Fado em Mim.
- "Quien Engaña no Gana" - Spanish group Ojos de Brujo combines flamenco and Catalan rumba with hip-hop into a sound they call "flamenkillo." This song was taken from their 2002 album, Barí.
- "Rock El Casbah" - Algerian-born rocker Rachid Taha plays a unique blend of alternative rock and Algerian raï that reflects his experiences as a first generation immigrant in Paris. This homage to punk icons the Clash is from his 2005 album, Tékitoi.
- "Tiempo de Solea" - Spanish group Ojos de Brujo combines flamenco and Catalan rumba with hip-hop into a sound they call "flamenkillo." This song was taken from their 2002 album, Barí.
- Happy Everywhere - Barcelona electropop duo the Pinker Tones return with this stylized video from their 2008 sophomore release, Wild Animals.
- Manu Chao—"Politik Kills" - The godfather of Latin alternative, Manu Chao, revisits Africa with this powerful mediation on politics and war, shot on location in Monrovia Liberia.
