        Andrew Evans woke up bright and early on new year's day and stood outside the bus stop in front of National Geographic headquarters, where he began his 10-week, 10,000 mile journey to Antarctica. At 11:26 a.m., right on schedule, the S2 Metrobus pulled up and he hopped on, the adventure begun.
