National Geographic photographer Thomas Peschak swims the stormy waters off Hanifaru Bay in the Maldives to turn his lens on the fascinating lives of manta rays. The dynamic animals were at risk due to an impending development, but are safe today in part to the attention Thomas's stunning images brought the creatures.
