Bringing Hawaiian Sailing to Mexico

Apprentice navigator and native Hawaiian Austin Kino speaks on the past, present, and cultural significance of Hōkūleʻa, an expedition to sail around the world in replicas of the Polynesian double-hulled voyaging canoes to honor the roots of Hawaiian seafaring culture. Kino imparts his knowledge of traditional sail canoeing and celestial navigation on the Vermilion Sea along the coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico.
