Supercomputer Is World's Fastest
October 29, 2012---The U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory has the world's fastest computer. Named Titan, the supercomputer can process 20 petaflops, putting it neck-and-neck with the previous top supercomputer. Oak Ridge's Director of Science, Jack Wells, describes some of Titan's features, as well as some of the lab's supercomputer users, which include one of the world's leading makers of diapers and potato chips. I heard several years ago that they were going to use dna to create the next super computer. I wonder if that ever happened????
