World War II Battleship Wreckage Discovered

March 9, 2015 - After an eight-year search, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and a team of researchers have discovered the wreckage of the Musashi, a battleship sunk by American forces during World War II. The discovery was made in Philippine waters at a depth of about 1 kilometer (3,280 feet). The Musashi was one of the largest battleships in history and carried 2,399 crew, nearly half of whom died during the battle and sinking.
