Injured D.C. Snowy Owl Gets "New" Wing

March 29, 2014---A snowy owl visiting Washington, D.C., where it was hit by a bus and also burned, possibly from a hot chimney, received new feathers on its damaged wing. The operation, called imping, was performed at the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota.
