        Gokh-Bi System—"Rap Tassu"

        The members of Gokh-Bi, which means "neighborhood," came together in an impoverished suburb of Dakar, Senegal in the 1990's. Their single "Rap Tassu" is about a Senegalese style of music called tassu, which some believe is a precursor to hip-hop.
