        Hawaii State Bird on Comeback

        The Nene is the state bird of Hawaii. At one point, there were fewer than 30 birds in the wild. Now over 2,000 birds grace the islands, but Hawaiian park rangers tell Charles Annenberg Weingarten, founder of explore.org, that there is still a long way to go.
